With a range of fun and motivating classes there will be a class to suit your individual health and fitness goals. 

Our classes cater to a range of ages and fitness levels which range from strength-based training as well as wellness classes that strengthen your mind as well as the body!

Cardio and Strength Classes

Body Attack (55 min) 

The sports-inspired cardio workout for building strength and stamina. This high-energy interval training combining athletic movements to take your fitness to the next level.  

Body Pump (55 min)  

Use weights to strengthen, condition and tone the whole body. You will also increase bone density, support a healthy metabolism and walk out feeling fantastic.  

Body Step (55 min) 

An energising step workout that makes you feel alive. Using a height-adjustable step and simple movements on, over and around the step you get huge motivation from the music.  

Les Mills Tone* (45 min) 

A mix of functional training and tubing exercises mixed with great music to leave you buzzing with energy and feeling great. Les Mills TONE accommodates most fitness levels. 

BodyCombat

This high-energy martial-arts inspired workout is totally non-contact and there are no complex moves to master. A LES MILLS instructor will challenge you to up the intensity and motivate you to make the most of every round. You’ll release stress, have a blast and feel like a champ.

Metafit (30 min) 

A high intensity interval training class. All exercises are body weight only. This class is designed to work you at maximum intensity. 

HIIT (45 min) 

HIIT Movements are big, involving every muscle working together, and intervals are short so you can give max effort. Suitable for intermediate to advanced fitness levels. 

Boxing (45 min)

A high intensity class consisting of partner with a focus on boxing technique, cardio and some core work.

Teen Boxing (30 min)

Tailored for 12-15 year olds offers a safe and supportive environment where participants develop physical fitness, technique, and confidence through structured training focusing on proper form.

Zumba* (55 min) 

Exotic rhythms set to high energy Latin and international beats. Enjoy the way your body moves and don’t worry if you forget the steps- it’s meant to be fun! 

Body Sculpt 

An all over workout combining cardiovascular exercises to increase your fitness followed by muscle sculpting exercises that will tone, improve balance and your core strength. Suitable for various fitness levels, as options are included. Combined with motivating music, it makes a fun but challenging class.

Aquatic Classes

Aqua Fit* (45 min) 

Aqua Fit is a workout in water that is inclusive of every fitness level and every age. Working out in water eliminates stress on the joints, improves cardiovascular fitness, can increase strength, flexibility and overall health.  

AQUAWW* (45 min) 

Warm water exercise designed to improve muscular strength, cardio-vascular fitness and flexibility in an environment that has minimal impact on the joints. 

Cycle Classes

Cycle and RPM (45 min) 

Indoor cycling classes are coached by an instructor who will guide you through a series of sprints, climbs & attacks. Riders are accompanied by inspiring music and can work at their own pace.  

Sprint (30 min) 

High intensity interval training (HIIT) on a bike. It’s built on the sport of cycle sprinting which means you’ll be taking your training to the next level with a workout that’s all about speed. 

Wellbeing and wellness classes

Body Balance* (55 min) 

The Yoga, Tai Chi, Pilates’ workout that builds flexibility and strength and leaves you feeling centred and calm. It will stretch and strengthen your muscles, improving posture and flexibility. 

Pilates* (55 min) 

A low impact class that focuses on strengthening your whole body, targeting posture, flexibility and strength. 

Reformer Pilates (included in Platinum membership only) (45 min)  

Pilates reformer work focuses on core strength and proper muscle engagement which improves athletic performance, back pain, injury recovery, balance, bone density and posture to name a few.
Exercises are performed on a bed with springs, a sliding carriage, ropes and pulleys. This class type can be accessed through a Platinum Membership only.

Yoga* (55 min) 

Yoga cultivates health and wellbeing through a range of many different techniques, including postures and movement, breath awareness and breathing exercises, relaxation and concentration, self-inquiry and meditation.  

Vinyasa Yoga

Vinyasa is an approach to yoga in which you move from one pose directly into the next. There's a flow to a Vinyasa yoga session.

Hatha Yoga

Hatha involves a set of physical postures (yoga poses) and breathing techniques. These are typically practised more slowly and with more static posture holds than other styles of yoga.
 

Older Adults

Seniors Cardio* (45 min) 

Seniors freestyle cardio class is a workout that will help improve heart and lung fitness as well as your balance and co-ordination. This class has everything - music, friends and movement. 

Senior Strength* (45 min)  

A seniors class designed to strengthen the body with functional movements with light hand weights and bands. This class will include some Pilates moves and these exercises will strengthen your muscles so that everyday tasks remain easy and enjoyable. 

*Classes that are suitable for older adults.

Book your Group Fitness classes via Active World

Are you looking to book for your next Group Fitness classes via your membership app Active World? Watch our quick demo video or follow the steps below:

  1. After downloading the Active World App and creating an account, login with your user details.
  2. Select Buy / Book from your Home Page.
  3. Select Book Session.
  4. Select Group Fitness from the activity options and click Select.
  5. Find your desired Group Fitness Class in listed options and click Book.
  6. Select a member to book the class for.
  7. Confirm your payment details, read the Terms and Conditions, and select Confirm Booking.

You will now be able to view your booked class in My Schedule, from where you can view class details or notify your absence. Now you’re ready to get active with us!

How do I book in for a Group Fitness class?

All bookings for classes can be done through the Activeworld App and will be available 24 hours before your class time. 

Who can do a group fitness class?

Group fitness classes can be done by anyone at any fitness level. With a wealth of knowledge and experience our group fitness instructors are sure to inspire you to achieve your fitness goals and motivate you to work out to the best of your ability. Different classes to work different parts of the body and have varied levels of intesity, however group fitness professionals can support participants to modify exercises for individual needs. 

Will more Group Fitness classes be added to the timetable?

The timetable will be reviewed ongoing against attendance and instructor availability. As Mill Park membership grows we hope to continue to offer an array of class options to suit everyone’s needs.
 

What type of equipment is at Mill Park Leisure?

Mill Park Leisure houses brand new state-of-the-art Matrix equipment.

The gym is fitted with technology-enhanced cardio and strength equipment including 22-inch screens on all the treadmills that host mobile apps like Instagram, Facebook, Netflix and YouTube. In the cycle room you will find 30+ matrix training cycles with magnetic resistance, optimized ergonomics and quick touch operations.

In the free weights and strength areas you will also find pin loaded strength with video demonstration and programming options from touch screens built into each piece of equipment, the highest of quality plate loaded and Weight Zone equipment including multiple racks with high performance lifting platforms and much more.

What is the minimum age for Group Fitness classes?

The minimum age for all group fitness class is 16 years of age.

Can anyone book in Reformer Pilates classes?

Reformer Pilates classes are available through a Platinum membership only. To learn more about upgrading to this membership type or to enquire about this membership, please visit our memberships page here.

What is Virtual Group Fitness?

Virtual Group Fitness classes are led by a virtual instructor on a projector. Virtual classes allow Mill Park Leisure members to enjoy more classes outside of the classes held by instructors in person.
